Matthew is an incredibly talented actor with a very beautiful voice. His passion is musical theatre, and we worked together on advanced repertoire from musicals such as “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “Les Miserables”, and “Phantom Of The Opera”.

Matthew went on to train at the prestigious Liverpool Institute Of Performing Arts (LIPA). He left me with an autographed picture of himself performing what came to be our signature piece of repertoire, “Gethsemane”. I am waiting for it to be worth millions!

I worked with Maimuna for several years in her teens, exploring plenty of musical theatre repertoire, as well as indulging ourselves with a little Tori Amos every now and again!

I soon realised that Maimuna was a born performer and belonged on the stage.

She went on to gain a coveted place at the Oxford School Of Speech and Drama, and now works as a professional actress and singer. She has performed in some great musicals, including “Into The Woods” at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, brand-new show “The Assassination Of Katie Hopkins” at Theatre Clywd in Wales, and was also given the role of Mary Magdalene in the open-air production of “Jesus Christ Superstar” in London, where she attracted the attention of Tim Rice!

I can’t wait to see what she does next!

“My daughter Bronte has been a student of PR Music Tuition for 18 months, we have been delighted with her progress and growing confidence, Rachel has led her through LAMDA exams, passing with distinction. My daughter has taken part in numerous festivals and several showcases, thoroughly enjoying all of them.

Rachel is a wonderful teacher who is clearly passionate about music and provides challenge and encouragement in equal measure, her lessons have both enhanced my daughter’s confidence in performance as well as her vocal skills for musical theatre.

I would have no hesitation in recommending PR Music Tuition.”

Andy Harrington, Bronte’s Dad.

Rachel my vocal coach is an amazing musician and vocal coach. She always brings out the best in me. I love going to PR Music Tuition; every lesson I learn something new and Rachel always helps me to try something new, exploring new ideas so I can push boundaries. I would highly recommend PR Music Tuition.”

“Rachel’s natural ability to connect, engage and encourage is phenomenal! The confidence her students gain is a massive life skill, not all are note perfect but so what. Rachel encourages self growth, confidence, individuality, acceptance as well as all her wonderful performances, singing, shows, acting! Nicholas adores his lessons and I never know what I’m going to walk into at pick up time. He has taken LAMDA exams in his stride and attained distinctions all the way with P.R. Music Tuition. Rachel Toner is ace – FACT.”

Katherine Fraenzel, Nic’s Mum.

“Rachel has been my vocal coach for almost a year now and in that time I’ve seen a massive improvement in not only the way I sing but also my performance. I’ve been lucky enough to take part in some amazing showcases and performances from “Vaudevillains” to Darwen Live. I’ve also found the confidence, with Rachel’s help, to perform a full spot at Oswaldtwistle Carnival. Before coming to Rachel I’d lost my passion and drive for performing but that has changed dramatically over the last 11 months. I love to sing and perform again and my confidence is better than ever.”

“Rachel is a brilliant teacher and I like my piano lessons because Rachel makes them fun!”

Joseph Hilliard, Piano.

“My son Joseph has been having piano lessons with Rachel for nearly two years. She makes the lessons engaging and fun. Her patience and knowledge have helped Joseph to improve his own skills, both in playing the piano and reading music, thus helping him gain in confidence and enjoy playing. “

Sandra Hilliard, Joseph’s Mum.

“I like my piano lessons because I always learn new things. I enjoy learning new scales and pieces. I have just taken my ABRSM Prep Test and I liked playing my pieces for the examiner. The examiner said I played really well!”

Gifong Feng, Piano.

“Piano lessons are fun because I get prizes for working hard and doing all my practising! I like to learn new pieces and work towards exams. I have just taken my Grade 2 with ABRSM and got a Merit!”

Giwan Feng, Piano.

“Piano lessons are fun, I get to learn lots of new things like different pieces and techniques. Rachel helps me learn what I need to know for exams, I recently took my Grade 3 ABRSM and am now working towards Grade 4. I have performed a piano piece at Blackburn Cathedral and I also played in my school talent show! I want to get as far as possible in my piano grades because when I am older I want to be a professional musician.”

Yuibun Feng, Piano.

“Hi, I’m Kayden Bellusci age 14 and it is my dream to become a west end performer in the future. I’ve been a student with Rachel for a number of years and she has helped me through many exams. Not only has Rachel developed and improved my singing technique but she has helped me build my confidence in both my performances and myself.”

Kayden Bellusci, Vocals

I have been studying with Rachel for around 7 months and I have improved not only vocally but with my confidence, stage presence and remembering large amounts of lyrics for many different songs. Rachel gently encourages and prompts where needed and will often remind me that I don’t need to be a hero where lyrics are concerned and that I can do it. She has nurtured my musical confidence and it has blossomed. Who knew I would ever be able to hit that high note in “This Is Me”? I can’t recommend Rachel enough.
